Looking for a great weekend at PVBC…

In just a few minutes, our teens will be singing and testifying in several Retirement Homes near the church.  The last time they went and did this, it was a huge blessing to the residents.  It was also a huge spiritual boost to our young people.   There’s something about pouring yourself into others that creates a greater hunger for God.  I’m so excited about the move of God in our church and in the hearts of our youth group.  It is such a blessing to this preacher to see kids showing growth and putting down roots this year.  Growing In Grace has been our theme since the first of the year, and I can see that God in His mercy has made that a reality for some.

No doubt, the heat wave will test our resolve this afternoon at 4 as we gather at the church to pray and then go sow the seed of the Gospel.  It might be best if we think of the heat of Hell that awaits those that are unsaved.

We had a great time at Bro. Sammy Allen’s camp earlier this week.  We took about 20 folk down there and stayed in the dorms – for the first time in many, many years.  It was strange for me to have my boys with me, and I was their age the last time I stayed in there!
