Sunday Night Report

God blessed and honored "Family Day" here at PVBC. Several families had visitors with them, many coming to Pleasant View for the very first time! And in addition, God just sent a few more visitors in to be with us. The service was blessed with a sweet spirit, and visitors and members alike knew we were in the presence of God, bless His name.

God blessed the congregational, choir, and special music, then Pastor preached, "I'm So Glad I'm a Part of the Family of God." God anointed him to preach, and the Holy Spirit did the work! Two souls were saved, one during the invitation and another after much time had been taken with her after the service. Both gave testimonies in the evening service thanking God for what He had done in their lives! Several other visitors were with us in the evening service as well. This weekend has also seen a divine work of God in the Hispanic ministry as well, and we give Him all the glory for what He is doing in these days!

Special Note: The church family learned tonight (Wednesday) that two more souls were saved as a result of God working through the services on Saturday (in NC) and Sunday. Two young adults, visitors at the church while home with their families, were saved. A young lady; after church Sunday night, and a young man on Monday while talking with Pastor Shiflett. Please remember all of these in your prayers. 

Mid-Week Announcement 

Pastor Shiflett has encouraged the church family to get serious about bringing unsaved friends and family to church this coming Sunday, November 23. In keeping with the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday, he has called this Sunday, "Family Day." The Lord gave us a wonderful day this past Sunday with Evangelist Randy Sutherland, and we had a special service with Bro. Randy preaching again on Monday night.  

The "extra good" services this past Sunday, the special service Monday night, and the sweet prayer meeting service tonight have us all looking forward to what God has in store for us on the Lord's Day. Tonight's service was blessed with several good testimonies, many of which were centered around the incredible witnessing opportunities God has given our folks, especiall with unsaved family in recent days! Please join with us in prayer, that God will prepare hearts between now and Sunday, and that we will see Him do great things on the Lord's Day!

Another special blessing this week will be the privilege to go to Bro. Brad Pridmore's church, Upward Kelly Memorial Baptist, near Hendersonville, NC on Saturday. Pastor Shiflett, Bro. Sutherland, and Pastor Chris Norris will be preaching, and our youth choir will have the opportunity to sing. We are looking forward to this service.
