The World Missions Conference here at PVBC has given us a tremendous opportunity to teach our students the importance of serving others.
Our high school young ladies are preparing the meals for our guests as part of a home economics unit. Their willingness to learn and their servant's hearts have been a blessing. They were here late Sunday night making preparations. Then for the past two mornings they have come in early to prepare and serve breakfast, as well as to make preparations for lunch and the after-church meal. After some academic classes, they return to the kitchen to finish lunch, serve, and clean. The remainder of the afternoon is spent in the classroom. So you can see they are quite busy this week.
Another blessing has been the volunteers who are teaching and overseeing their food preparation and serving. God's Word teaches us the importance of the members of the body of Christ teaching and exhorting one another. We are also reminded of the responsibility the older have to teach the younger. It has been a tremendous blessing to see this carried out this week in real-life applications.
Our visiting missionaries and guest speakers have been blessed by the ministry of these young ladies and their teachers. At PVCA we count it a privilege to serve those who have committed their lives to taking the gospel to a lost and dying world.
