A few weeks ago, I asked Miss Viers to prepare a home economics unit on the subject of entertaining for our high school ladies. We began making plans to have these girls serve an evening meal during our Bible Conference. Miss Viers and Mrs. Davidson put their heads together and did an excellent job teaching the finer points of being a gracious hostess. In fact, the we received such glowing remarks from those who attended the meal, that I asked Miss Viers to share her notes. You will also find pictures of the evening here on the web site.
From Miss Viers:
As part of a Home Ec. Unit, our 9th-12th grade girls planned an evening meal for our guest preacher, Dr. James Jones, along with Pastor Shiflett, Pastor Emeritus Raynes and their wives. The entire event from meal planning and preparation to serving and table settings was orchestrated entirely by the ladies. The evening was an elegant one and the ladies did a fabulous job.
