The sixteen high school students from PVCA enjoyed a great time at the AACS National Fine Arts Competition this week. Representing South Carolina in several areas, the students achieved the following results.

Hanbell Ensemble - Second Place (Amber Lemmons, Adam Raynes, Natalie Raynes, and David Viers)

Dramatic Interpretation - First Place - Natalie Raynes

Humorous Interpretation - Second Place - David Viers

Poetry - Second Place - Adam Raynes

Religious Reading - Third Place - Amber Lemmons

Scripture Teaching - Second Place - Natalie Raynes

In addition, the 9th and 10th grade Choric Readers received excellent scores, and we are excited about the future of this group. The members are: Lindsey Jones, Alicia Lemmons, Caitlan Hardin, Elizabeth Barnett, Kenny Applegate, Daniel Ault, Michael Newsom, and Jonathan Jordan.

Mrs. Pegram, our choral director, was very pleased with the Choral Group scores as well.

All in all, it was a great showing for these young people, and we give God the glory for their success. Our prayer is that they will use these talents for His kingdom!
