Sunday, October 5, will be our kick-off for the annual World Missions Conference. Pastor is calling this "Harvest Sunday", and we're hoping and praying to see more fruit from our outreach to our local community. Just this morning, October 4, we started on our second box of 2,500 door hangers we are using to invite people in our surrounding area to visit us here at PVBC.

Following the regular Sunday morning service, we'll have an international dinner. This will be our third time experimenting with foods from all around the world, and everyone enjoys the variety of dishes (well, most of them!!). Another emphasis of this Sunday will be "Our Jersusalem." Displays of many of the local outreaches of PVBC will be set up in the Raynes Buildling. The displays will make "old" and new members alike aware of the opportunities to serve here at Pleasant View, as well as encourage folks to hold each other up in prayer as they serve in the field where God has led them.

Missionary families will begin arriving Sunday evening, and Brother Jimmy Rose will be with us in the Sunday evening service as well. Following this service will be another time of fellowship as the church family reaches out to be a blessing to our visiting missionary families. So far we know of at least ten different families who will be with us for the services and the special classes that will be offered!

Monday through Wednesday there will be classes in the morning, a break in the afternoon, and evening services. Everything will be centered around encouraging and equipping those who are going, and those who are sending. We are excited to see what God has in store for our church family, the visiting missionaries, and our guest preachers this week!
