How Amiable Are Thy Tabernacles, O Lord of Hosts Print E-mail

Psalm 84:1 describes what the House of God meant to David, and this description is a fitting description of how God blessed us here at His house yesterday at Pleasant View. It is amazing to think that the God of all creation would save us. Then to realize that He longs to meet with us as a body of believers is beyond our human comprehension. But, God's Word declares that He inhabits the praises of His people, and that He longs to be worshipped, "In spirit and in truth."

On this past Lord's Day, it was simply an honor to be counted among the redeemed and to be able to worship God. He met with us, blessed us with His presence, and touched hearts and lives. Visitors and members alike testified to the fact that God had ministered to their needs. As is so often true in a scriptural worship service there was rejoicing, tears, praise, thanksgiving, and "bearing of one another's burdens." In addition, God's Word was faithfully declared by His man, and His Word never returns void.

In the words of the great hymn Pastor Shiflett had us close the Sunday night service with, "O that with yonder sacred throng we at His feet may fall! We'll join the everlasting song, and crown Him Lord of all; We'll join the everlasting song, and crown Him Lord of all!"
