On Friday and Saturday, October 31 and November 1, a good number of the men and boys from PVBC headed for the foothills for a great father/son camping trip.
On Friday afternoon, Bro. Stewart Jordan began getting things in order, and by late afternoon everyone started to arrive. The first order of business was setting up tents, after that it was time for some four-wheeling, horse-riding, and fellowship.
As evening came on, everyone started breaking out their grills or other food preparations they had made, and as dusk settled over the camp everyone gathered around the campfire for supper. Later that evening, David Jordan whipped up an incredible pot of salmon stew that was just right for a midnight snack!
The weather was just right, 40s through the evening, mid to upper 30s by the next morning, so the campfire was a popular place to be! On Friday night and Saturday morning we had a good time of devotions from the Word of God, and throughout the camping trip, the fellowship was awesome.
Shortly after everyone got bedded down, somewhere around 1:00 A.M., a cow that sounded like she was the size of Babe the Blue Ox in the Paul Bunyan stories visited camp, breaking into Lionel Adkin's food. Due to the bravery of one of our men, we were all spared the wrath of the fierce beast!
Good food, cool weather, a campfire, and great fellowship with our sons and other brothers in Christ! "Praise God from Whom ALL blessings flow!"
