The PVBC family truly has SO much to be thankful for! God's Word tells us that is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and surely He is worthy! Anyone who has walked with the Lord for any length of time knows how faithful He is in the difficult times. If that is so, how much more should we praise Him for the good things He does for us and for the abundance of His blessings!
This past week, another family joined the church, and we are thankful for that. We have had visitors in every service for several weeks, some of whom are lost and in need of a Saviour! Our pastor continues to preach to us in the power of the Holy Spirit, and we never leave PVBC hungry. Every message is a blessing, but in particular, the continuing series on the home has ministered to SO MANY families. The disintegration of the Christian home in the past 30 years has been devastating, and God's Word has the answers. We are all so thankful for the simple truth we have been receiving to help us build families for His glory!
The outreach ministries have been blessed of God and fought by the adversary! Amen! In spite of opposition, we have seen souls saved and folks ministered to in prisons and detention centers, as well as area nursing homes and assisted living facilities. The weekly visitation has encouraged God's people and has kept the seed flowing OUT of the barn! In addition, we've seen the local outreach broadened with the addition of a weekly radio broadcast.
We have seen God make Himself very real to hurting families in our church. His healing; physical, spiritual, and mental, has been apparent. Only a loving heavenly Father could have poured out the sustaining grace as we have seen Him do in this local body, and we thank Him!
Finally, His presence has been so real in the services. Whether we are simply enjoying the sweet realness of His Holy Spirit or we're shouting the victory, we leave knowing we have met with God. As iniquity abounds and the love of many waxes cold, how refreshing it is to meet with God.
For all of these blessings, and so many more, we say, "Praise God from Whom ALL blessings flow!"
