This past weekend, the PVBC family had the exciting privilege to throw out the lifeline to many who are sinking in despair. Too many do not know that a Saviour has already paid the price for their redemption. It is our responsibility, and our privilege, to tell them!
On Friday, we had an excellent response to the live nativity and Sounds of Christmas. The program was titled, The True Light, and every part of the service from the opening congregationals through the message and invitation was presented for the purpose of revealing the light of the glorious gospel.
There were quite a few visitors with us Friday evening, and we know that some were unsaved. Please pray that God will honor the seed that was sown, and these folks will soon trust Christ as their Saviour.
On Saturday afternoon, the PVCA Handbell Choir along with several families from the church held a service at the Alterra - Sterling Retirement Center in Taylors, and five elderly folks raised their hand requesting prayer for their spiritual condition aftter Pastor Shiflett preached. We are praying that God will use the group from PVBC that goes in twice each month for services at this facility, and that these residents will come to know our Lord.
Then on Sunday afternoon, God blessed the Spanish service in a very special way, and a dear lady who has been coming fairly regularly for several months raised her hand expressing a desire to know Christ. Bro. and Sis. Holden dealt with her quite a while, and she received the Lord as her personal Saviour! What a tremendous blessing it was to then hear her in the English service that followed in the church auditorium, as she stood and told the church that she had trusted Jesus Christ for salvation! The Spanish service was also attended by three new folks, and we are praying that the Holy Spirit will deal with them and open their eyes to their need of a Saviour.
