Praise the Lord for a blessed weekend here at PVBC! On Saturday and Sunday, the church family enjoyed outreach into several homes (recent visitors and follow up on "care cards"), area nursing homes (as well as prison and detention centers throughout the week). Saturday afternoon and evening, there was a picnic at Lincoln Park for Pastor Shiflett's birthday. Lots of good food, fun, and fellowship on a beautiful fall afternoon! Thank the Lord for a Heavenly Father Who gives us richly all things to enjoy!

Then on Sunday, God met with His people. Pastor preached a tremendous message on Sunday morning about the raising of Jairus' daughter, and the church family was moved at the prospect of "Getting Jesus to Come to Your House"! That evening, there was a sweet spirit of rejoicing and worship, and we enjoyed the presence of God. Pastor continued his series on the home, and preached on, "The Cleansing of the Home." What a powerful message. Every Christian family ought to hear it! Satan hates the Christian home, and his attacks can be very subtle. Truth will set you free, and this message was filled with the truth of God's infallible Word!

Praise God for visitors in both services, the presence of God, and the preaching of His Word!
