Anniversary Service in Amazon Region of Brazil |

Hello from Santarem!
We celebrated our 7th anniversary at the Igreja Batista Vitoria tonight. It was a bittersweet service for us... knowing it will be our last anniversary here. We enjoyed watching the adults as they played the hand chimes. Then two of our Sunday school classes did a presentation of singing "God is so good" in Portuguese, then sign language, and then in English. The ladies of the church also sang "Little is much when God is in it" It was such a special service for us.

The church has called a national to be the Pastor. Bro Werlesson will be one of the first graduates from the Bible Institute that we started 3 years ago. He will be taking over the church in November. What a blessing and privilege it has been to train him in the Institute and then for the church to call him as Pastor. Bro Werlesson is married to Vanessa and they have 3 precious little girls. We feel like they will do a great job.
The ladies of the church served lasagna and cake to 125 people. We are thankful for the people the Lord has given us that serve so willing in the church.
We appreciate each of you that have prayed for us over the years. We are praying about where to go next. We would appreciate you continuing to pray with us about this.
