Hello. We hope you are doing good and enjoying the nicer weather! Things here are going pretty good. The church people planned a "Pastors Appreciation Day" on Sunday night. It was all so nice and the cake was delicious! The Lord has blessed us with some wonderful people. We left after church on Sunday night for teen camp. We had 6 teens to go with us for the 3 days. We had a great time (except for having to sleep in a hammock and having one unwelcome guest a huge spider). The preaching, singing, fellowship and games were so fun. The teens loved every minute of it and wanted to stay longer. What a blessing it was at church last night to hear them testify about how the Lord had helped them during the three days away. How it touched our hearts to see them turn to the adults begging for them to pray for them that they would continue to have the desire to serve the Lord with all their heart. Of the six that went, not one of them have both parents in church. One of the young men and one of the young ladies have neither parent in church. Different ones have asked about Lauro, our teen with cancer. The Drs have found two more lymph nodes with cancer in them. They are having to go to Drs through the government because of the expense and to this day, he still hasn't had one radiation treatment. (He has been in the south since December) He goes to one Dr, that Dr sends him to another. He has test done, then they ask for more test. It has been this way since he got there. This has been a real hardship on the family. They have to travel by bus to get to the different places and they are spending around R$20 each time. (the equivilant of about $10) For a family that has an income of $400 a month, that is very hard. The dad is also still here in Santarem working. We really would appreciate you all praying for this young man and his family as they go through this hardship. Lauro has been faithful to church since he got there and has been a great witness to unsaved family members that he is living with at this time. We would also appreciate you praying for us. We have been facing some trials this past month that have been hard to understand at times. We need direction on how to deal with them. Thanks so much! Have a great day!
Your missionaries,
Bro. Joe & Lisa Edge
