The outreach ministries here at home have experienced the blessings of God in recent weeks as well as the opposition that comes from Satan when we are trying to reach souls for Christ.

The prison and detention center ministries have been blessed with new folks signing up to go and witness, hold Bible studies, and preach. 

Bro. Backer has shared with us that the workers have seen some saved in recent weeks and have had tremendous opportunities to disciple those who have already trusted Christ. Quite a few PVBC members are involved in this work, and we would ask that you pray for those who are involved in this important ministry.

The nursing and retirement home ministry has been blessed by the personal visits that several ladies in the church are now making during the week. Those who hold the weekly and bi-weekly services have told us that the interest level in the services has picked up as a result of these visits. Just last week, one of those making personal visits was asked by a worker to hold a Bible study! So right then and there, eleven of the residents gathered together in the living room and the Word of God was shared with them!

Jesus said that ministering to those who were sick or in prison was the same as ministering directly to Him! We praise the Lord for these faithful folk and their servant's heart.

The Hispanic outreach has declined recently despite a great deal of effort. Again, we would ask those of you who care about the lost to help us intercede on behalf of the thousands of Hispanics all around us, many of whom are lost, and trusting only their religion for their eternal salvation. Ask the Lord to give us wisdom as we seek to share with them the joy of a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.
