Directions to Zirconia Baptist Church
The youth choir is scheduled to sing at Zirconia Baptist Church on Friday evening.
Take Hwy 25 North toward Hendersonville, NC. Approximately 5 miles
after you cross the state line, the road will narrow and become Hwy.
225. Go about one half mile (or less) and you will see the Old Zirconia
Road, or Zirconia Road, we've been told both names, on your
LEFT. There is also supposed to be a "Youth Revival" sign of some sort
posted here. Turn left, and you will come to the Zirconia Baptist
Church.
Service begins at 7:00 P.M. and it will take you approximately 30
minutes ti get there from Pleasant View. The Zirconia Baptist Church
family is providing pizza after the service and has made arrangements
to feed our entire group, so please make plans to stay for a little
while, and be sure to let them know how much we appreciate their
hospitality.
Come praying and asking God to let us be a blessing to the service. Pray for the men who will be preaching.

What a blessing to be in the mid-week service last night at Pleasant
View! Thank the Lord for an "old-fashioned" church that begins each
service with men's and women's prayer rooms. Then some good
heart-stirring music from the congregation and youth choir directed our
hearts and minds toward our God and prepared us for His Word.
Bro.
Bobby Nichols and his family were with us, and the church family
enjoyed their music and his presentation of his burden for the country
of Brazil. Following Brother Nichols, Pastor Shiflett preached a
tremendous message from Colossians chapter 1 on the "Preeminence of
Christ." Then, what a thrill to see a man in his 30s walk the aisle and
trust Christ as his personal Saviour!
We were blessed to have other visitors in the service and thank the Lord for a great Wednesday night service.

Our hearts were blessed today as the 7-12 grade students at PVCA shared
their messages and lessons prepared for the upcoming SCACS Bible
Preaching and Teaching Conference next week. The young men
preached their messages and received evaluations from Pastor
Shiflett, Bro. Randy Bryson from Open Door Baptist Church in Easley,
SC, and Bro. John Turner from Calvary Baptist Church in Greer, SC.
From the opening message until we concluded at 2:30 P.M. this
afternoon, we were blessed and thrilled at the diligent
preparation of these young men! They expounded the Word of God
carefully and with an obvious sincerity. The pastors' comments,
both written and verbal, were very helpful and encouraging.
While the young men were preaching, our young ladies
were having their Bible teaching presentations evaluated by Mrs.
Grace Shiflett, our pastor's wife, and Mrs. Frankie Gazaway, the
wife of our boy's home director. These ladies and the girls' Bible
teacher, Miss Elizabeth Viers, were equally blessed and amazed at
the excellent work done by these young ladies.
Pleasant View Christian Academy will host the Junior High Ladies
Teaching next Monday. Then our senior high ladies and all of our young
men will travel to Columbia on Wednesday for the remainder of the
teaching/preaching conference. Then on Thursday and Friday the
music and speech competition will be held in Columbia also.
Please keep these young people in your prayers.

Hello. We hope you are doing good and enjoying the nicer weather! Things here are going pretty good. The church people planned a "Pastors Appreciation Day" on Sunday night. It was all so nice and the cake was delicious! The Lord has blessed us with some wonderful people. We left after church on Sunday night for teen camp. We had 6 teens to go with us for the 3 days. We had a great time (except for having to sleep in a hammock and having one unwelcome guest a huge spider). The preaching, singing, fellowship and games were so fun. The teens loved every minute of it and wanted to stay longer. What a blessing it was at church last night to hear them testify about how the Lord had helped them during the three days away. How it touched our hearts to see them turn to the adults begging for them to pray for them that they would continue to have the desire to serve the Lord with all their heart. Of the six that went, not one of them have both parents in church. One of the young men and one of the young ladies have neither parent in church. Different ones have asked about Lauro, our teen with cancer. The Drs have found two more lymph nodes with cancer in them. They are having to go to Drs through the government because of the expense and to this day, he still hasn't had one radiation treatment. (He has been in the south since December) He goes to one Dr, that Dr sends him to another. He has test done, then they ask for more test. It has been this way since he got there. This has been a real hardship on the family. They have to travel by bus to get to the different places and they are spending around R$20 each time. (the equivilant of about $10) For a family that has an income of $400 a month, that is very hard. The dad is also still here in Santarem working. We really would appreciate you all praying for this young man and his family as they go through this hardship. Lauro has been faithful to church since he got there and has been a great witness to unsaved family members that he is living with at this time. We would also appreciate you praying for us. We have been facing some trials this past month that have been hard to understand at times. We need direction on how to deal with them. Thanks so much! Have a great day!

Bro. Joe & Lisa Edge

The Bobby Nichols family, missionaries to Brazil will be singing and presenting their work on Wednesday, Feb. 28th. Bro. Bobby is a second-generation missionary and will be going to labor with his dad, Bro. Bob Nichols and his brother Bro. Charles Nichols. This family is sure to bless your heart, so make sure you don't miss them this coming Wed. night. We will be taking a love offering for them, so come prepared to give. You will want to be a part of their ministry! I have personally known this family for well over 20 years and look forward to having them in the service.
