What a thrill to be in the Lord's house this past Sunday! After a good Sunday School hour, the morning service opened up with the joy and presence of the Lord as the choir sang What a Wonderful Place and the congregation joined in on Glad Reunion Day. God then directed our hearts and minds to our salvation purchased on Calvary with the remainder of the song service. After another congregational and the choir numbers, the men's quartet was used of God in a tremendous way as they sang There's Room at the Cross for You and More Than Ever. In this day of compromise and falling away, what a blessing and challenge to be reminded that we can love Him and serve Him now more than ever!

Dear Pastor,
I hope this letter finds you and your people doing well and excited about the privilege of serving our wonderful Saviour! Our prayer is that God will open many great doors of opportunity for you in your place of ministry this coming year. I'm reminded of Paul's statement in I Corinthians 16:9, "For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries." Surely we are in the last days, and Satan knows his days are numbered. So, with every open door comes a host of adversaries! Don't let the adversaries discourage you! Thank God for the great and effectual open door! Don't forget the truth that "Greater is He that is in you (us), than he that is in the world." (I John 4:4)

At PVCA we strive for high academic achievement, because we want our students to realize their full potential and be everything they can for God. Along with this goal, is a passion to help them become rooted and grounded in the Word of God. That is why at various times throughout the year we have special chapel services to in addition to our regular Bible classes and weekly all-school chapel.

After a wonderful Romantic Escape, the weekend came to a close with a blessed Stewardship Sunday. The time in Asheville was so much fun, that each of those that attended are planning on being there next year. We have already set the dates, so mark your calendars. The dates are February 5-7. The reservations are being made now, and the first 30 couples to register will be guaranteed a room at the best rates. We will be sending out more information on this later on.
Sunday, Dr. Charles Keen, the former pastor of First Baptist Church of Milford, OH for 35 years and founder of Bearing Precious Seed was with us all day. His messages on Stewardship were a tremendous blessing. We were honored to have him and his wife with us for this special day.
This week, I will be preaching Thurs. through Fri. night at Progress Baptist Church where Dr. Joe Cox is the pastor. Pray that God will use us to be a help to his people. Our choir will be singing there on Friday night, the 22nd, so make plans to attend if you can. We'd love to see you.

Last night's service was a sweet and refreshing time. The testimonies, the singing and the praying was wonderful. There was liberty to preach, and the altar was filled with couples praying and getting help from the Lord. This morning's split session was also a tremendous time of Biblical help. The ladies heard from Sis. Chris Raynes and Sis. Grace as they shared their lessons, "Changing Your Man" and "Loving, Learning and Lending Your Man" respectively. The men were blessed by a superb lesson on Spiritual Gifts by Bro. Doug Raynes. The day was spent laughing, hiking, playing ball, fellowshipping and shopping. We are looking forward to the evening service. Lord willing, I will be preaching on "Building Trust". Those here are already making plans to come again next year. We have had an absolute blast, enjoying each other and making new friends. Photos will be posted soon of this awesome event. The notes from the services can be found in the Outlines section of this website. Pray for God to continue to bless our homes, our marriages and our churches as we seek to serve Him.
